Program Manager, Environmental, Health, and Safety (German)
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- German Occupational Safety Specialist in accordance with ASiG (Sifa).
- 2 years of experience in EHS management systems or experience managing EHS compliance with environmental programs (e.g., emissions, wastewater, etc.).
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- Ability to communicate in German fluently in order to communicate with local authorities.
Preferred qualifications:
- German Occupational Safety professional qualification, Credentials from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH, or equivalent agency.
- Experience communicating with AHJ’s (e.g., Federal, State, and Local Authorities) for notifications and permit conformance.
- Experience in data centers and electrical safety.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program lifecycle, identifying and driving impactful business and operational improvements aligned with Google's goal.
- Define, scope, and independently lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, adjusting programs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) regulations, maintain permits and monitor program Key Performance Indicators (KPI) performance. Execute and manage site EHS compliance calendar tasks/requirements.
- Monitor and communication program progress, risks, and mitigations. Work closely with partner teams to manage changes and align stakeholders.
- Understand the EHS domain and regulatory landscape, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends.
