We are now looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our German HR Business Partner & Operational team at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST), acting as an advisor to our business and thus helping to translate organisational strategy for RWEST into HR strategy.

  • Partner with business stakeholders in our commercial and/or business support units on all aspects of HR to ensure HR genuinely adds value, thus providing HR policy expertise, consultancy and guidance on any employee-related operational HR issues
  • Work hand in hand within the operational HR team of Business Partners, HR Advisors, Gas Storage Business and the other HR teams Compensation & Benefits, People & Organisational Development and Talent Attraction to ensure close alignment in terms of business goals whilst also building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and the co-determination
  • Build and manage trustful working relationships with key stakeholders and business clients at all level, and understand their needs and expectations to support the RWEST growth strategy
  • Proactively support the delivery of HR processes at the client's side
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relation issues
  • Driving, steering and bringing your HR Business Partner value and into complex and cross-functional and group-wide HR projects
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance and partner with legal department as needed / required
  • Manage and building a trust- and respectful relationship to our co-determination
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the HR team by actively encouraging ideas, streamline HR processes to implement changes necessary to cover risks
  • Act as the performance improvement driver and provoke positive changes in the people management
  • Provide guidance and input on business organisational structure
  • Partner closely with other HRBPs and internal HR teams on global strategy and execution

Your powerful skills

  • Academic background in a HR-related field (Economics, Business Administration, Psychology or equivalent with a strong HR / people management focus)
  • Extensive experience within a generalist HR Business Partner role having worked in a fast paced, delivery focused commercial environment ideally on an international level
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels to convey complex contents in a way that is actionable for the business
  • Strong level of self-drive and pragmatic 'can do' attitude as well as ability to work independently
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, confident personality and ability to lead cross-functional projects
  • Proven collaborative, relationship management, networking and influencing skills, also across companies within RWE
  • Desire and competence to continuously challenge the status quo in day-to-day interactions with stakeholder and other parties involved
  • Enthusiastic team player with intercultural competence
  • Fluent in business German and English
