YOUR TEAM
Within the Tech Center "IIX - Interior, Infotainment & Digital Experience" you will be part of creating one future cross-brand, standardized infotainment and digital experience platform of the Volkswagen Group. Having you in our team, you will unfold expertise in customer-centric software development for infotainment in the car, mobile and beyond.

As Head of SW Development Processes and Tools "IIX" (m/f/d), you are part of a group of passionate and determined people who continuously strive for pushing the boundaries and who all share the same vision: To provide the best possible customer experience across the entire mobility journey by offering extended infotainment systems and functionalities combined with services for connected cars within a data-driven automotive ecosystem, no matter what brand or product they choose.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Disciplinary and technical management of the organizational unit " SW Development Processes and Tools".
• Work as part of delivery organization to ensure that tools and processes are efficient and effective and supporting delivery goals.
• Define and roll out metrics and KPIs to make performance of processes visible.
• Optimize and improve tools and processes both in short term, to assure critical delivery targets, and in long term, to enable continuous improvement.
• Define and run framework to transform working practices.

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Obtained Leadership License required
• Minimum 10 years of experience in software platform and embedded in the field of infotainment with strong understanding of automotive development processes.
• Broad experience of SW processes and tooling supporting the processes from requirements management, to architecture, to development, to integration, and to testing and validation.
• Experience of large scale software projects in various roles, both in delivery and supporting roles.
• Detailed knowledge of infotainment platform technologies including Android OS, embedded systems, drivers, bootloaders, HAL and performance tuning etc.
• Demonstrated experience setting up software processes and transforming existing working practices more effective.
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and German is a plus; able to communicate with all parts of the organization including Delivery Units and Brands.
• High level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
