A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Commodity Manager, you play a vital role in orchestrating the development and execution of innovative sourcing strategies. Reporting to the Global Commodity Manager for Converters, Cabinets, and SCADA commodities, you skillfully negotiate high-value contracts with global suppliers, leveraging your expertise to drive value and cultivate strategic partnerships. Through in-depth market analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams, you champion operational excellence and proactively mitigate risks. Your contributions are instrumental in advancing the success and sustainability of our Wind Power Operations division.
How You'll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute long-term global sourcing strategies for Converters, Cabinets, and SCADA commodities to optimize value and ensure supply chain resilience
  • Lead complex contract negotiations and establish master supply agreements with key global suppliers, securing favorable terms that align with business objectives
  • Establish and manage a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework, conducting regular performance reviews to foster strategic partnerships and improve supplier performance
  • Monitor market dynamics and identify technology trends through in-depth analysis, informing strategic sourcing decisions and enhancing competitive advantage
  • Establish new procurement processes and standards that impact functional results, ensuring alignment with the highest ethical standards and company compliance policies
  • Act as the primary procurement expert, effectively communicating strategies and plans to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and support for sourcing initiatives


What You Bring
  • A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering, combined with over 5 years of experience in global sourcing for electrical commodities
  • A solid technical background in electrical and electronic systems, enabling informed decision-making and effective collaboration with engineering teams
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management, with a track record of successful high-value contract negotiations
  • Strong analytical skills, allowing for comprehensive market analysis and advanced spend forecasting to support strategic planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, facilitating effective communication and alignment with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • A commitment to operational excellence and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in procurement processes
