YOUR TEAM

The Delivery Unit 1.1 has full commercial responsibility for the entire life cycle of the E³ 1.1 architecture/cluster, from request to release to field support. Portfolio Management defines the project content for DU 1.1 in close coordination with the Group brands, both for initial approval (portfolio creation) and in the event of change. It is responsible for portfolio strategy, project portfolio, technical concept development, project approval in committees, financing and key commercial aspects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Responsible for the product portfolio of the product area, including leading product portfolios for approval including financial resources (preparing the necessary committee documents, business assessments and cost estimates)
• Identifying deviations from targets, conflicts of objectives or serious risks and developing solutions together with partners
• Developing recommendations for portfolio decisions and prioritization
• Conducting commercial assessments of department-specific needs and resource-side affordability assessments
• Initiating technical concept development and coordinates implementation schedules with delivery management
• Steering the Delivery Unit's portfolio into the overall CARIAD portfolio, ensures communication towards the Group brands and markets and coordinating the portfolio backlog

WHO YOU ARE

• Successfully completed studies in the field of (industrial) engineering

• Ideally 10 years of professional experience in portfolio management or product development; experience in creating roadmaps, applying for funding, developing customer products or business plans

• Ideally 5 years of experience in a leadership role as well as an agile mindset and modern understanding of leadership

• Knowledge of the global market and the ability to recognize trends early on

• Experience in designing company-wide business plans for portfolios as well as validating product concepts and portfolio acceptance with relevant target groups/stakeholders

• In-depth expertise in product specification and portfolio management in the areas of Connected Car, Infotainment, Energy Management & Charging or Compute Platform

• Experience in applying product lifecycle management processes and methods across the company and use committees and organizational structures

• Ability to review, consolidate and defining application implementation concepts, requirement descriptions, product approvals and discontinuations

• Identifying overarching, corporate conflicts of objectives and resolve them in partnership

• Experience with Volkswagen Group corporate and development processes is a plus

• Excellent communication skills in English and German
