Join us as an Electrical Systems Engineer (f/m/d), where you will lead the design and development of cutting-edge high-voltage AC and DC equipment. Your expertise in discharge mechanisms, insulation coordination, and component design will be pivotal in driving the next generation of high-voltage systems. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to define architectures, validate concepts, and propel innovation from research to product deployment, making a significant impact in the energy sector.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop and validate high-voltage AC/DC equipment designs, including breakers, cables, transformers, and insulation systems
- Analyze discharge mechanisms and optimize insulation performance to ensure reliable system operation
- Evaluate insulation coordination and protection strategies for high-voltage networks
- Collaborate with electro-mechanical and construction teams to achieve integrated system performance
- Drive innovation by developing and assessing next-generation high-voltage power equipment concepts
- Support R&D activities, document technical findings, and contribute to publications, standards, and knowledge sharing
What You Bring
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Extensive professional experience in high-voltage equipment design, discharge mechanisms, and insulation coordination
- Proven experience with high-voltage AC and DC systems, including component design and testing
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and construction skills is beneficial
- An analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong communication skills
- Fluency in English; German language skills at C1 level are appreciated
