Your future plans
Join our Platform Engineering team and help to improve the delivery performance of RWEST's IT development teams. We design and implement various platform products such as standardised AWS modules (IaC) and pipelines and supporting teams in adopting standards and best practices. With a strong DevOps mindset we strive for automation wherever possible to reduce toil.

• Contribute to the development process to enhance existing platform modules and services
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new platform modules and services
• Pair up with developers from Business IT teams to build prototypes and test new modules in action
• Support ADM teams in adopting platform modules as well as DevOps best practices
• Participate in and drive sessions with stakeholders to understand requirements towards the developer platform
• The team is based in Essen, Swindon and London and willingness to occasional travel is expected

Your powerful skills

• High expertise in the AWS cloud environment and its common services
• Vast experience with containerization (Docker) and common orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes / EKS, ECS)
• Experience with DevOps best practices and CI / CD tools (esp. Azure CI / CD)
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code frameworks (esp. Terraform) and Infrastructure automation
• Experience in Infrastructure and Platform as a Service environments
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and related developer needs
• Fluent in English

Advantageous, but not a must

• Skills in Cloud security, Cloud network topics, expertise in monitoring & logging frameworks
• AWS or similar relevant certifications
• Experience with common programing languages (C#, Typescript, Python, ...)
• Language skills in German
