(Senior) Manager Pricing & Reimbursement (m/w/d)
The Position
This role offers the opportunity to ensure broad market access at optimal pricing while navigating complex healthcare frameworks. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative pricing strategies for both market and pipeline products. Combining strategic, analytical, and healthcare expertise, you will collaborate across diverse internal teams to deliver impactful results.
This position can be filled either as Senior Manager or Manager.
Tasks & responsibilities
- In this role, you will develop and implement price strategies in Germany (Pipeline, Launch, and market products) based on clear and comprehensible criteria.
- As a pricing expert, you will prepare pricing-relevant topics for price negotiations within AMNOG processes and actively participate in these negotiation
- By monitoring the environment and legal framework, you will analyze other price outcomes as well as arbitration board decisions and translate these insights into strategic recommendations for Boehringer Ingelheim products.
- You will also take responsibility for coordinating long-term planning processes, independently creating pricing scenarios with well-founded rationales and deriving clear recommendations.
- Maintaining a broad overview of all pricing-relevant aspects such as rebates, combination discounts, you will ensure the development of optimal strategies and successful outcomes for our products.
Additional tasks for Senior Manager Pricing & Reimbursement
- Independent development and implementation as well as responsibility of complex pricing strategies for pipeline, launch, and market products in collaboration with different stakeholders.
- As senior Manager you will have to cover and be responsible for the entire range of pricing topics, Sparring partner for negotiator in developing the negotiation strategy to achieve the best possible price
- Responsibility for the price assumptions and corresponding rationales in the overall view of the Boehringer Ingelheim product portfolio in collaboration with the Pricing & Reimbursement Managers
Requirements
- Degree in pharmacy, health economics, medicine, natural science, economics or public health - ideally with PhD
- Experience and profound understanding of health sector and health political framework with focus on patented pharmaceuticals, AMNOG process and pharma pricing knowledge
- Distinct Problem-solving skills with strategic overview to develop new approaches
- Profound health political knowledge as well as medical and pharmaceutical basic understanding
- Highly developed social and communicative skills as well as willingness to cope with changing environmental conditions in health political framework
Additional requirements for Senior Manager Pricing & Reimbursement
- Longterm experience and profound understanding of health sector and health political framework with focus on patented pharmaceuticals, AMNOG process and pharma pricing knowledge
- Strategic foresight and the ability to think beyond borders - also with regard to international trends in pricing of patented therapie
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, advanced influencing skills and ability to align pricing and access objectives with the overall brand strategy
