Your Tasks

SAP PLM serves as the global core system for our packaging specifications, material master data and bills of materials (BOM).

In this role, you will take full responsibility for SAP PLM for Packaging Development from a business and process perspective. You will manage the topic end to end: aligning stakeholders, structuring requirements, and ensuring that business needs are translated into effective SAP solutions, to continuously improve packaging data quality. You actively contribute to shaping future SAP PLM processes and priorities for packaging.

This is not a software development role. You will not be coding or technically designing SAP functionality. Instead, you act as a project manager and requirement owner, working closely with packaging business teams and IT.

After onboarding, you are expected to work highly independently, build deep understanding of packaging specification logic, and become the go-to person for the topic.

This senior expert role combines end‑to‑end responsibility for SAP PLM Packaging master data processes with the realities of a dynamic FMCG environment, including stakeholder alignment, project initiatives and ongoing responsibility for run, administration and continuous improvement.

Key Tasks:

  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of SAP PLM transactions for Packaging from a business and process perspective
  • Drive and manage SAP‑related projects and initiatives for packaging specifications, material master data and BOMs
  • Act as the main interface between packaging business teams and IT
  • Proactively collect, structure, prioritize and challenge requirements from business stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories
  • Represent business requirements towards IT and ensure correct and timely implementation
  • Manage and maintain a packaging‑specific SAP backlog
  • Build strong relationships with key users and act as their primary point of contact
  • Coordinate and deliver trainings, documentation and onboarding materials for all users
  • Ensure SAP PLM is used as the central and compliant system for packaging specifications and reporting requirements (e.g. sustainability KPIs, CSRD, PPWR, EPR-fees, plastic taxes)

Your Profile

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, Packaging, Supply Chain or comparable field
  • 5+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Strong experience working at the interface between business and IT
  • Proven ability to drive topics independently without close operational steering
  • Solid understanding of SAP systems (ideally SAP PLM, S/4HANA or master data processes) – from a functional, not technical, perspective
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented working style
  • Motivation and willingness to deeply learn packaging specification and data logic and become an expert in this domain
  • Fluent German and English
  • Career changers are welcome, provided they bring strong project management skills, SAP systems affinity and the motivation to grow into the topic
