iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

Join our Team as Research & Development Laboratory Associate and you'll contribute to the production / characterization of newly engineered proteins as well as contribute to the projects by designing own proteins.

Main responsibilities:

  • Protein production in early research phase, from first ideas to proof of concept.
  • Experience with protein expression in microbial systems (yeast, bacteria) and/or mammalian systems (HEK, CHO), from small scale expression for screening purposes to large scale expression for in depth analysis.
  • Handling, cultivation and transformation of bacteria, yeast and/or mammalian cells.
  • Practical experience in protein purification (chromatography based purification systems, e.g. ÄKTA).
  • Experience in functional and physic-chemical characterization of proteins by different methods.
  • Documentation of results and methods in relevant databases and lab books. Communication of results with colleagues in written updates and in oral presentations.

About you

Experience:

  • Hands on biochemical laboratory experience with protein expression, purification and characterization.

Soft and Technical skills:

  • Good understanding in function and structure of proteins.
  • Good problem solving skills and highly self motivated.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured and reliable manner.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in local or global interdisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Languages:

  • Excellent English skills, German skills would be beneficial.
