Manager Value Creation Management (m/f/d)

PURPOSE & FUNCTION DESCRIPTION

At adidas, our Finance function strives to be a trusted business partner supporting key management decisions and company efforts to drive growth and value creation. The role combines deep finance expertise, ability to leverage advanced analytics, while driving automation & finance process improvements via data engineering capabilities. As an individual contributor, this position plays key role in developing strategic insights, driving digital finance transformation, and enterprise-wide decision support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead complex financial and business analyses to identify value creation opportunities.
• Support strategic projects with short turn-around requirements.
• Design and implement Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.
• Develop data pipelines and analytical solutions using SQL, Python and Databricks.
• Drive automation and digitalization of Finance processes.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations and executive-level insights.
• Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives and analytics workstreams.
• Support strategic planning, forecasting, scenario modelling and performance management activities.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics techniques.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strategic analytical rigor, strong conceptual capabilities and structured problem solving.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python and Databricks is a strong benefit.
• Strong finance and business acumen.
• Ability to synthesize key conclusions and core messages, drive executive-level communication and effectively manage different stakeholders are critical skills.
• Data engineering, automation and analytics are preferred.
• Ability to influence without formal authority.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn and flexibility to operate outside the comfort zone.
• Strong drive and end to end ownership to deliver high-quality results.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
• Prior experience in Finance, Analytics, Data Science or Consulting.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python and Databricks is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP and SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in Finance is a plus.
• Fluent English.
