Internship in micro-economic analysis (OeNB Euro Survey)

The Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe Division (CESEE) of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) monitors and analyzes macroeconomic, monetary and financial developments in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. Drawing on our country-specific expertise, we conduct cross-country comparisons, focusing particularly on economic convergence, monetary policy and financial stability.

We offer interested students, starting with 01.06.2026, a six-month (employment level 80-100%)

Internship in micro-economic analysis (OeNB Euro Survey)

Full-time or part-time (Fixed term until 30.11.2026)

Ihre Aufgaben

• Research assistance for empirical research projects
• Compiling and analyzing data
• Assisting in the OeNB Euro Survey, an annual survey of individuals in ten CESEE countries
• Supporting the team in other tasks (creating spreadsheets and presentations, researching literature, organization of workshops and seminars)

Ihr Profil

• Student of economics or social sciences or similar fields (advanced Bachelor or Master student)
• Active interest in current economic policy issues and in providing survey datasets
• Basic knowledge of statistical and quantitative methods
• Experience with Microsoft Office and data analysis programs like Stata or R
• Ability to work independently and diligently
• Excellent written and oral command of English
• Knowledge of or experience with micro datasets and / or survey data is an advantage
• Good command of German is an advantage
