As a Database Administrator, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and operating a large-scale database infrastructure that underpins our mission‑critical services. Working closely with your team and trusted external partners, you will ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of essential data solutions for our internal customers.

- Manage and maintain 100+ MS SQL databases in a highly available 24/7 virtualized Windows environment
- Support the team in operating 300+ Oracle databases on Linux/x86 and Solaris/SPARC
- Ensure smooth operations through effective backup/recovery, clustering, and replication technologies
- Proactive performance monitoring and troubleshooting, capacity planning
- Execute database upgrades and migrations
- Drive technological improvements and implement new concepts
- Maintain clear and up‑to‑date documentation for the SQL Server environment and procedures
- Participating in on‑call rotation
Das bringst du mit.
- 5+ years hands-on experience as Database Engineer or Operator
- Experience MS SQL Server DB administration, installation and configuration
- Know-How in Database patching and upgrades
- Backup/recovery concepts and hands-on experience
- Basic performance tuning and troubleshooting, SQL statement tuning
- General knowledge of Windows Server and Linux OS
- Basic Oracle DB administration knowledge
- MS SQL and Oracle certifications are desirable
- PowerShell scripting is an advantage
- Fluent English skills, German is an advantage

We will agree your salary based on your qualifications and experience in line with the market. The gross annual salary according to the collective agreement for telecom companies is at least € 43.500,95 (38,5 hours/week).
