This role is a new addition to the Quality Management team in Kirchheim unter Teck, established to ensure business continuity. The position is critical for implementing a quality 'firewall' for production by inspecting incoming materials and for centralizing the monitoring and management of all measuring equipment. To achieve these objectives, the role is structured around two core functions: Incoming Goods Inspection & Quality Control, to prevent defective parts from entering the manufacturing process, and Measurement Equipment Management & Documentation, to ensure the accuracy and availability of all testing tools. Given the focus on hands-on inspection and systematic planning, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in quality control, proficiency with various metrology instruments, and strong organizational skills for managing equipment and maintaining records, likely within an SAP environment. A technical vocational background is essential for this para-professional role.
What You Need To Make a Difference

• 60% Incoming Goods Inspection & Quality Control
  • Inspect purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Utilize various measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects such as corrosion, cracks, dents, or scratches.
  • Make and document clear pass/fail decisions on inspected goods, blocking non-conforming materials from entering production.
  • Support root cause analysis for defective parts and collaborate on corrective actions with the supplier quality team.
• 40% Measurement Equipment Management & Planning
  • Centrally monitor, plan, and coordinate the calibration and maintenance schedules for all production and quality measurement equipment.
  • Manage the inventory of measuring tools, ensuring all equipment is properly registered and tracked.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of inspection results, equipment calibration activities, and quality reports in SAP.
  • Verify specifications and technical requirements using purchase orders, blueprints, and inspection checklists.

Education

• Completed vocational training in a technical field, such as a metalworker, industrial mechanic, or mechatronics technician.
• Proven professional experience in quality control or incoming goods inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
