Definition VIE
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- You will assist in maintaining our Design Organisation Approval (DOA). This is a unique opportunity to gain a high-level view of how a major manufacturer interfaces with Airworthiness Authorities (like EASA) and ensures every helicopter meets global safety standards.
- Documentation Support: Assist in updating and maintaining the Design Organisation Manuals and procedural references.
- Compliance Monitoring: Help ensure our design processes remain in line with civil and military airworthiness regulations.
- Support for Authority Interface: Support the preparation of audits and meetings with Airworthiness Authorities.
- Data Management: Help manage the various dashboards of Airbus Helicopters DOA.
- DO-PO Link Support: Assist in maintaining Airbus Helicopters interfaces.
- Regulatory Watch: Help track changes in international aviation regulations and assist in communicating these updates to the wider engineering community
Desired skills and qualifications
- University degree in the area of Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
- First practical experience in the field of aviation regulations desirable
- Experience with Google Suite and software tools is desirable
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive mindset and a willingness to learn complex regulatory frameworks
- Languages: English on negotiation level
