As the Technology Scouting & Innovation Manager (f/m/d), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Grid Technologies. Your typical day will involve systematically identifying emerging technologies, monitoring market disruptions, and analyzing startup activities. You will serve as the organization's "early warning and opportunity detection system," translating external technology signals into actionable insights that inform strategy, portfolio steering, and investment decisions.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop and maintain a structured technology scouting process across H1-H4 horizons
- Identify emerging technologies with potential impact on Grid Technologies
- Own and continuously update the PRM Technology Radar and create strategic heatmaps of technology opportunities and threats
- Maintain visibility of startup, university, and research ecosystems to support partnership and investment opportunities
- Establish and maintain a central technology knowledge repository to ensure effective dissemination of insights
- Produce actionable intelligence reports for leadership teams and convert technology signals into portfolio recommendations
What You Bring
- Relevant and applicable bachelor's degree/diploma
- Long-term experience in technology development and Ventures/M&A type projects
- Strong technical focus with a solid understanding of what Siemens Energy does, though not necessarily an expert in specific technologies
- Experience in innovation projects involving universities, research facilities, or similar environments
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills in global matrix organizations, with the ability to translate external signals into clear portfolio and roadmap insights
- Fluent in English
