As a Power System Engineer (Dynamics) at Siemens PTI, you will contribute to the global energy transition by delivering advanced dynamic power system studies and supporting customers in integrating sustainable energy solutions. You'll make an impact by
- Execute and manage power system dynamic and transient studies including network and controller modelling in RMS and EMT domain
- Develop comprehensive and high-quality technical study report and deliverables for our customers
- Collaborate and coordinate with customers and project stakeholders
- Travel to various customer locations, in case necessary
- Contribute to business development activities and power system study project acquisition
This is how you'll win us over
- Education
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field, or an equivalent qualification combined with years of relevant professional experience
- Experience & Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in conducting Electro-mechanical and Electro-magnetic Transient studies for Utilities and Industries
- Experience with power system simulation software (PSS/E, PSS/SINCAL, PSCAD and Power Factory)
- Know-how on writing automation scripts in Python or any other commonly used programing language
- In depth understanding high and medium voltage power system, Power electronics and controls, Renewable generation etc.
- Familiar with various relevant international standards (IEC, IEEE etc.) and guidelines (CIGRE)
- Ways of working
- Being a team player with strong intercultural sensitivity
- Strong communication skill for interactions with project stakeholders in both Global projects and local projects in Germany
- Willingness to continuously develop and learn new things, enhancing expertise based on market needs in power system consulting business
- Languages
- Fluency in English, German would be an advantage
