Siemens Energy is seeking an Operational Excellence Professional to support our Transformers factory network (SE GT TR NM OE) in Germany, addressing the critical business need for increased efficiency, enhanced productivity, and reduced lead times to drive profitable revenue growth.\n\nTo achieve these strategic business aims, this role focuses on three core areas: leading continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects across the factory network, facilitating best practice sharing and standardizing operating methods, and monitoring operational performance metrics.\n\nGiven this operational focus, the ideal candidate will possess a degree in engineering, several years of professional experience in production or logistics, and certified expertise in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 40% Continuous Improvement & Project Management
- Lead process improvement and cost-reduction projects across the Transformers factory network to enhance output and cost-effectiveness.
- Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables based on detailed project plans and schedules.
- Moderate multi-department workshops and facilitate best practice exchanges between different manufacturing sites.
- 30% Operational Standardization & Coaching
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating methods across the execution units.
- Educate, train, and coach factory colleagues in Lean methodologies and continuous improvement mindsets.
- Optimize the entire value stream to achieve a transparent, agile, and highly efficient manufacturing organization.
- 30% Performance Management & Analytics
- Manage performance data and monitor operational excellence indicators to ensure alignment with business OKRs and KPIs.
- Analyze production and logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with factory leadership and sponsors to ensure successful completion and reporting of special projects.
Certifications
- Lean Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field
- Several years of relevant professional experience in project execution, production, or logistics within a manufacturing environment
