Lead Software Engineer - EW Mission Data Tools (d/m/w)

Job Description:

A vacancy for a Software Developer (f/m/d) Mission Support Systems has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The
successful applicant will join “TADMO2 Electronic Warfare Ground Support Systems Software”.
We are developing and supporting Electronic Warfare Ground Support Systems A400M, Eurofighter and Tornado. Our systems enable mission data preparation, provide the interfaces to the flying platforms, and support the evaluation of the mission or flight.

The successful applicant will join an agile team developing a mission data generation system for the defensive aids sub system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Engineering Tasks: Design, implement, and test software throughout the development lifecycle based on customer
  requirements
  
• You ensure compliance with rules and regulations resulting from software and aircraft development standards applicable to our
  project
  
• Frontend Development Task: Develop and maintain client-side logic and APIs to ensure seamless data
  processing and integration within the Mission Support Systems
  
• Design Responsibility: Ensure feasibility, reusability, maintainability, safety, performance, and security in software and
  interface design
  

You offer the following skills & competencies:

• You have an university degree (Master or Bachelor) in computer science or equivalent qualification
  
• You have a minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience as developer in TypeScript (preferably in
  aeronautics or defence sector)
  
• You have a good overview of current technologies in the Web-Frontend eco-system and experience in single page applications
  
• You master source code management systems as well as UML, OO design and design patterns
  
• You are highly motivated to continuously engage with new software technologies and improve software development
  processes
  
• You are a strong team player, able to work self-organised with an ambition for high quality
  
• You speak English at negotiation level, German is a plus
