A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day as Head of Operational Procurement Berlin begins with a short virtual check-in with your Buyers and MRP Planners to align on priorities, urgent material needs, and critical supplier updates. Afterwards, you participate in the daily production coordination meeting, aligning with planning, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure material availability for upcoming builds.

Later in the morning, you join a delivery review meeting with internal customers, such as project managers or production leads. Together, you go through key delivery dates, identify potential supply bottlenecks, and agree on mitigation measures for any upcoming risks.

Midday, you attend a weekly KPI session with your manager, presenting updates on delivery performance, backlog reduction, and supplier responsiveness. This is followed by a sync with strategic procurement to escalate supplier issues and align on tactical priorities.

In the afternoon, you meet with one of your team members for a 1:1 coaching session, supporting their development and addressing operational concerns. You then contribute to a continuous improvement workshop, where you explore ideas for digitalizing repetitive tasks in the MRP process.

You wrap up your day by reviewing supply risks for the next week and making sure the team's focus and capacities are balanced-keeping performance and engagement high.
