A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Head of Supplier Quality & Development - Systems, you play a pivotal role within the

corporate SE Strategic Procurement function and the SQD team. Your responsibilities

include directing a group of specialists in commodities, materials, quality control, and

manufacturing processes to support Strategic Procurement's global Systems commodities,

comprising Field Service, Rotating & Auxiliaries, and Electrical Systems for Siemens

Energy's expanding product portfolio. Together with your team of Commodity Engineers, you

collaborate with Commodity Managers in SE P Direct Materials - Systems to implement

commodity strategies that secure capable, high-quality, and cost-effective supply chains for

our operations. You also work closely with cross-functional teams to develop technology

roadmaps that foster innovation in both design and supply chain management, oversee

implementation from concept through sourcing, and provide technical guidance to

Procurement colleagues to address supply chain challenges effectively.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Act as a thought leader, driving innovation across systems, materials, and manufacturing technologies
  • Develop deep, end‑to‑end understanding of global supply chains for assigned corporate commodities, including regional footprints, capabilities, capacities, technology trends, and SWOT analyses
  • Build strong partnerships between SQD Systems teams and DM Systems Commodity Managers to deliver technical input into global commodity strategies and meet business and performance targets
  • Define and deliver Technology Roadmaps for each systems commodity, ensuring technical standards and materials/manufacturing technologies are developed to required readiness levels in close collaboration with Engineering and R&D
  • Partner with SQD Supplier Development to enable world‑class technical assessment of supplier capabilities and performance
  • Lead supplier audits, capability assessments, and technical qualifications for existing and new (R4B) suppliers within globally managed systems and components commodities
  • Serve as the "go‑to" technical expert for the business, supporting PPQ/R2O activities, supplier development plans, and resolution of supplier quality or performance issues as needed
  • Deliver efficient and effective resource planning and budget management to support technical and commodity objectives

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Longstanding professional and leadership experience in Project Execution in Engineering, Quality, or Supply Chain Management positions.
  • Strong project management skills and an innovative mindset that challenges legacy approaches.
  • People-oriented and performance-minded approach with a focus on team development and coaching.
  • Ability to negotiate and operate effectively in diverse cultural environments.
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus; Willingness to travel as required.
