Global Head (f/m/d) of Internal Control
A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Global Head of Internal Control, you will shape and continuously evolve Siemens Energy's Internal Control Framework, ensuring it remains risk-based, process-driven, and enabled by data and technology. You will work across business functions, process owners, and assurance teams to embed effective controls into end-to-end processes and major transformation initiatives. In this role, you will act as a key integrator across Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, and Continuous Assurance, helping to build a connected, scalable, and insight-driven assurance ecosystem. This is far more than a traditional compliance leadership position, you will serve as a strategic business partner and transformation leader, driving the shift from periodic control testing to continuous, risk-focused assurance that creates measurable value for the organization. We are building a future-ready Internal Controls organization. We are looking for leaders who move beyond traditional control testing and act as strategic partners in risk mitigation, process excellence, digital transformation, and business performance. This role reports to the VP of Assurance.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Own and continuously evolve Siemens Energy's global Risk & Control Framework (RCF), ensuring clear alignment between enterprise risks, processes, and controls
- Lead the transformation toward a process-driven, data-enabled Internal Control model, embedding controls into business operations and major transformation programs
- Champion the shift from manual testing to continuous assurance, leveraging automation, analytics, and continuous control monitoring
- Serve as the key integrator across Internal Control, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, and Continuous Assurance, driving a coordinated assurance approach
- Partner closely with Business Area leadership, Process Owners, and Digital teams to strengthen risk management, improve processes, and support business objectives
- Define and enforce global standards, governance, methodologies, and KPIs to enhance control effectiveness, consistency, and operational efficiency across the organization
- Lead and develop a high-performing global Internal Control organization, fostering deep process expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a business-first mindset
- Build future-ready capabilities in risk management, control design, data analytics, automation, and digital assurance, creating a modern and scalable control function
What You Bring
- 15+ years in Internal Control, Audit, Risk, Finance, or Assurance leadership roles
- Proven experience in operating model transformation, ICFR and enterprise-level control frameworks, digitalization, automation of controls, and continuous assurance
- Experience in large, global, complex organizations, with a strong ability to operate across regions, functions, and business areas
- Proven track record of leading and transforming global organizations, including building future-ready capabilities, evolving ways of working, and embedding sustainable change
- Strong people leadership skills, with experience inspiring, developing, and empowering high-performing global teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, business orientation, and digital mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and drive alignment with senior business leaders, process owners, assurance functions, and digital teams
- Strategic and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to simplify complexity, challenge the status quo, and translate business priorities and enterprise risks into effective control and assurance solutions
- Fluent English is required
