You will work on AI-driven engineering design, exploring how advanced generative models can reshape the way complex technical products are developed.
As a Generative Design Specialist, you will focus on the research and prototyping of novel 3D generative methods, spanning both AI-native representations and traditional engineering design approaches. Your work will involve experimenting with geometric representations such as point clouds, meshes, voxel-based models, and implicit neural representations, and connecting them with established CAD/CAE and simulation environments (FEA, CFD).
Working in a global, multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation design methodologies that combine machine learning, geometry processing, and physics-based engineering, helping to unlock new levels of automation, optimization, and design exploration.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Design and prototype advanced algorithms for 3D geometry generation and representation, spanning explicit representations (point clouds, polygonal meshes, voxel grids) and implicit/neural representations (e.g., signed distance fields, occupancy fields, neural fields).
- Explore and develop methods to integrate AI-native 3D representations with classical CAD/CAE workflows, enabling seamless interaction between data-driven generative models and engineering-grade design and simulation tools.
- Build and evaluate proof-of-concept pipelines that automate or enhance engineering design processes, including geometry generation, topology optimization, and simulation-aware design.
- Investigate how generative models can incorporate physical constraints and simulation feedback (e.g., FEA, CFD) to create designs that are not only novel but also functional and manufacturable.
- Work closely with experts in AI/ML, computational geometry, and engineering domains to co-develop innovative approaches and translate research ideas into practical applications.
What You Bring
- Educational background (degree or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical or scientific field, combined with proficiency in programming (e.g., Python) and familiarity with cloud-based simulation or AI deployment platforms
- Deep expertise in generative AI and its application to technical product design, including experience with CAD/CAE software, FEA, CFD simulations, and design optimization methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing or deploying AI-driven design solutions that enhance efficiency and performance in engineering contexts
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary, multinational teams and communicating complex technical concepts effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Customer-oriented mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a passion for continuous learning
