A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you work closely with international engineering teams, project managers, and customers to develop and implement instrumentation and control solutions for steam turbine projects. Your day includes translating process requirements into reliable control system designs, coordinating interfaces with turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems, and supporting project execution from engineering through commissioning. You contribute to technical discussions, resolve complex engineering challenges, and help further develop standardized I&C concepts for future fossil and nuclear power generation projects.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Development and implementation of instrumentation and control (I&C) solutions for steam turbine projects in new apparatus business
- Clarification of process requirements and technical interfaces with steam turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems to ensure seamless system integration
- Engineering, coordination, and delivery of project-specific control system hardware and software solutions with focus on quality, schedule, and cost targets
- Technical representation of the steam turbine I&C scope within global project teams and during customer discussions
- Support of installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and site activities to ensure reliable plant operation
- Continuous advancement of standardized steam turbine control concepts, including instrumentation, hardware architecture, software design, and technical documentation for fossil and nuclear applications
What You Bring
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
- Long-term professional experience in control system engineering, automation, instrumentation and control, or commissioning within the energy, process, or industrial sector
- Strong knowledge of modern distributed control systems (DCS), control system hardware, electrical systems, and industrial automation technologies
- Experience with SPPA-T3000, Siemens PCS 7, or comparable process control system platforms
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of ownership and commitment to delivering results
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in international and interdisciplinary environments, combined with fluent German and English language skills
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and
decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof,
steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings,
modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
