Serrala is building an Agentic AI Execution Layer to deliver production-grade AI agents embedded into finance workflows across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payments & Cash.
The AI Engineer will build production-grade agents (not demos) - from single-purpose expert agents to orchestrated multi-agent workflows, using Serrala's standardized AI platform patterns (RAG, tool calling, memory, evaluation, observability, and governance).
The role requires a strong engineering mindset: reliable behavior, finance-grade failure handling, human-in-the-loop controls, and measurable performance across cost, latency, and quality.
This role operates within Serrala where the central AI team owns reusable AI services (gateway, RAG, orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, observability/FinOps) and domain teams productize outcomes.
Your Day to Day:
- Build production-grade AI agents (single → multi-agent workflows) with reliable reasoning, tool usage, state handling, and safe fallbacks.
- Design auditable, finance-grade workflows with guardrails, approvals, explainability, and full traceability.
- Implement RAG, tool calling, and memory patterns grounded in enterprise data
- Instrument agents with telemetry & evaluation to optimize quality, cost, latency, and reliability.
- Integrate agents into SAP-embedded and SaaS products, following enterprise security and rollout standards.
- Ship with excellence: CI/CD, logging, diagnostics, and quality gates.
What makes you excel in this position:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, incl. 1-2+ years with LLM/agentic systems.
- Strong hands-on skills in prompting, RAG, orchestration, tool calling, and reliability patterns.
- Experience with deterministic + probabilistic systems and human-in-the-loop flows.
- Solid engineering fundamentals and comfort in enterprise environments (auditability, access control).
- Finance / ERP experience (AR, AP, Payments) is strongly preferred.
- LLM evaluation frameworks and agent orchestration patterns are a strong plus.
- You build production systems, not demos.
- You think in controls, failure modes, and trust.
- You balance speed, correctness, and cost.
