Aufgabengebiet

• Modeling deformation fields using Gaussian primitives, Gaussian Splatting, or related representations
• Integrating deformation models into reconstruction and alignment methods
• Implementing efficient, differentiable algorithms in Python using PyTorch
• Evaluating methods on simulated and experimental cryo-ET data
• Documenting results and preparing scientific publications

Qualifikationsprofil

Candidate Profile

• Completed PhD in computational imaging, computer vision, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field
• Excellent programming skills in Python and PyTorch
• Experience in the following areas: Gaussian Splatting or parametric 3D representations; 3D reconstruction; cryo-EM / cryo-ET; inverse problems; and self-supervised learning
• Ability to conduct independent scientific research
• Excellent English skills

The Project Offer

• A challenging postdoctoral position at the interface of computational imaging, inverse problems, and cryo-ET
