Postdoc (f/m/x) in the Transfer Group
Your Tasks
The hired person will work on the development and implementation of mathematical models and numerical algorithms for Adaptive Optic systems, in particular related to the instruments of the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT). The work will not only include the validation of the algorithms via simulations, but also the development of the real-time computing software and its validation with real data. Your Profile
- PhD in Mathematics or an related area
- Strong background in numerical mathematics and modelling is required
- Experience in Programming
- English skills needed

- A minimum annual gross salary for this position is EUR 70.167,44 (full-time based), in accordance with the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). For part-time employment, the salary will be adjusted on a pro rata basis in line with the agreed working hours.
