About the Role

We are expanding our Payments team and are looking for an experienced Product Owner Payments to help shape the future of our SAP-integrated Payments products. As part of our growing team, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager Payments and cross-functional stakeholders to build innovative, customer-centric solutions with long-term impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of the Payments business domain, gathering and analysing data to define precise product specifications.
  • Ensure Payments products align with the company's strategic goals, vision, and business objectives.
  • Own and continuously refine the product roadmap, communicating priorities and progress to stakeholders.
  • Drive and manage the product backlog, ensuring a logical, value-driven progression of work.
  • Take accountability for achieving release timelines and delivering key product epics.
  • Proactively contribute to long-term roadmap planning, shaping the customer proposition 3-5 years ahead.
  • Communicate effectively across cultures, adjusting style, detail level, and formality as needed.
  • Operate independently within the scope of the role and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and improvements.


Your Profile
Technical & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • PSPO, CSP‑PO or similar certification is a strong plus.

Skills, Experience & Competencies

  • Solid understanding of product and project management concepts and methodologies.
  • Strong customer-focus, with the ability to translate user needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with Payments regulatory requirements and the capability to convert these into product features.
  • Strong numerical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creativity, innovation drive, and an interest in working with evolving technologies.
  • Knowledge of one or more relevant programming languages, frameworks, or databases.
  • Ability to adapt to change, manage pressure, multitask, and make informed decisions.
  • Preferred experience with SAP and B2B Payments.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Experience in Treasury or Cash Management is a plus.
