Account Solution Engineer - Retail & Consumer Goods Industry
This role is for people who enjoy turning ideas into working solutions and learning by building. As an Account Solution Engineer specializing in the Retail and Consumer Goods industry, you partner with Account Executives to help customers - from smaller businesses to larger enterprises - solve real business challenges using AI + Data + CRM. The environment is dynamic and varied - customer needs evolve quickly, and you work across the full Salesforce portfolio, which means momentum, direct access to decision-makers, and early responsibility. You don't just help customers adopt technology - you help them build confidence in the path forward and play a role in evolving how Solution Engineering is practiced in the age of AI.
What you'll do
- Lead discovery to understand root causes of challenges in the retail and consumer goods space and map them to Salesforce capabilities.
- Design and deliver solution concepts and demos linked to clear outcomes for retail and consumer goods customers.
- Orchestrate the solution cycle with AEs and specialists across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with industry-specific needs.
- Support pipeline generation through workshops, briefings, and industry events tailored to retail and consumer goods.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years in a role where technology and process meet (e.g., innovation, consulting, presales-adjacent), ideally with exposure to retail or consumer goods clients.
- Business-fluent German and professional English for customer-facing work.
- Ability to explain complex topics simply and present clearly.
- Awareness of how systems connect (APIs, data flows, or integration concepts).
Preferred Qualifications
- Curiosity for how solutions work behind the scenes (APIs, data flows, integrations).
- Interest in prototyping through low-code, vibe coding, and agents.
- Ability to sketch simple architectures to reason about solutions.
- Familiarity with the retail and consumer goods landscape, including industry trends and challenges.
Why this team
You join a team that builds, not just presents. We explore, test, and learn together - and we share openly so everyone grows faster. We work across the full Salesforce portfolio, which means you develop breadth early and can decide later where to go deep. Curiosity and initiative are not add‑ons here - they are how we operate.
Why this work matters
Retail and consumer goods customers are often making high-leverage decisions about how they grow, differentiate, and serve their own customers. Our role is to help them make those decisions with confidence - not by showcasing features, but by translating problems into clarity, designing what "good" could look like, and co‑creating solutions they can believe in.
What success looks like
Success in this role is when a customer feels understood, sees a future they want to move towards, and gains the confidence to take the next step - because you helped make the path clear. You don't just explain technology - you help customers act on it.
The builder mindset we're looking for
We are looking for someone who wants to help shape how Solution Engineering is done in the age of AI - not just use the tools. AI is shifting how discovery, storytelling, prototyping, and value translation happen. We want someone who will explore new ways of working, test what's possible, and help us turn those experiments into repeatable practice. If you get energy from helping build the future of the craft , not just performing the current one, you will feel at home here.
What makes our Retail & Consumer Goods Team different
The retail and consumer goods industry is where innovation meets impact. You work with customers who are reimagining how they engage with their consumers, optimize supply chains, and differentiate in competitive markets. You gain direct access to C-level stakeholders and see the impact of your work faster. The variety of use cases gives you real versatility - and accelerates mastery.
How we help you grow
We don't only teach product - we develop Solution Engineers. You learn how to shape solutions, not just configure demos. You'll practice in safe environments (demo gyms, discovery dojos) and receive coaching that builds judgment and confidence. You are not expected to arrive ready - you are expected to grow into readiness.
A note from the hiring manager
We challenge ideas, not people. We operate with clarity, curiosity, and ownership - and we invest in your development. If you want to learn by building, gain momentum in your career, and co‑create meaningful solutions with customers, you will thrive here.
