Specialist Transformer for Electrolysis Plants (f/m/d)

A Snapshot of Your Day
You have a discussion with a possible supplier regarding an improved transformer design for the electrolysis application and afterwards update the specification based on the outcome. In the afternoon you review the transformer specification created by one of the Electrical Lead Engineers and discuss with the simulation department how a deviation in a transformer's design values would affect a specific customer project. In between you are caught by strategic procurement to discuss the supply chain resilience for our rectifier transformers.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Be leading expert regarding transformer specifications, transformer designs, trouble shooting and supplier selection for the entire business
  • Support the design of new power supply concepts as well as the customer project execution teams
  • Support in bids and FEEDs and develop a worldwide standardized transformer specification procedure to enable further ramp-up of the business
  • ownership for the related design tools and guidelines (requires Matlab)
  • Sufficient execution experience to support project execution for the whole primary electric scope or take responsibilities as an Electrical Lead Engineer


What You Bring

  • Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, with strong focus on power engineering or power electronics
  • Minimum 5 year of experience in the specification, design, manufacturing, or erection and commissioning of industrial power transformers
  • Background in electrolysis or high-current applications beneficial
  • Highly self-organized, reliable and resilient
  • Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
