As a Project IT Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the technical implementation of demanding media asset management integration projects as well as support and maintenance projects for our European broadcast customers.
Your responsibilities
- Assisting the customer during requirements gathering, development, and detailed specification of our on-prem and cloud-based IT systems
- Development and support of complex test and integration environments, including third-party systems from the broadcast sector working closely with the internal product teams for management, development, and quality assurance
- Commissioning, configuration, and restful API based integration with third-party systems like Active Directory, Scheduling, and Content Delivery Networks; performing system tests with the client and assisting in GoLive
- Performing product and project-based 2nd and 3rd level support of our media asset management systems, including problem analysis, software updates, configuration changes, and extended day-to-day support
- Analysis of errors generated by systems or sent by customer liaisons, creation and maintenance of support and operational documentation, assisting in the training of the customer's operating and support personnel
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our project implementation and support processes
Required skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, communications, or comparable education or experience
- Three to five years of professional experience installing and supporting Media IT as well as preferred Media Asset Management software
- Strong knowledge in equipment, technologies, and work processes within the broadcast and media industry
- Affinity for video and audio codecs and wrappers and their modification
- Scripting (Javascript) or programming languages (Java, Perl, C#)
- Administration of Linux servers, Kubernetes clusters (EKS, RKE), docker runtime, networks, search indices, and databases as managed services in AWS as well as self-hosted
