Business Success Manager DAIA - R&D and HR (all genders)

Your Tasks

Behind each product that Beiersdorf brings to life, there are numerous business processes, company and consumer data points and decisions – in scope of our digital transformation.  Our DAIA organization in Beiersdorf IT, is a trusted partner to all business functions, navigating Beiersdorf toward intelligent decision-making through data, analytics, AI and automation. We are looking for a dynamic and results driven Business Success Manager to strategically manage the DAIA business with the R&D and HR functions, ensuring our mutual success by understanding the R&D and HR business objectives as well as the DAIA IT capabilities and solutions, and facilitating our collaboration to drive our initiatives forward.

Our team DAIA Acceleration is a catalyst and enabler for DAIA success, by creating focus, synergies and mastery in the capabilities of business success management, portfolio management, and agile and digital design methods.


Your Tasks

  • Strategic relationship management.  Build and maintain strong relationships with our business partners in R&D and HR. ‘Build bridges’ between DAIA and R&D and HR in business and in the corresponding IT domains.
  • Business development. Collaborate with R&D and HR to understand their business goals, challenges, and opportunities, and create awareness of how DAIA capabilities and solutions can support them. Identify and consolidate all project opportunities.  Orchestrate and lead ideation consulting (from idea/demand to project), using digital design methods, together with ‘idea champions’ from DAIA technical teams and business.
  • Orchestrate make vs. buy pre-studies. Enable a fact-based governance process.
  • Functional demand & portfolio management. Create transparency of DAIA demands and portfolio for R&D and HR, enable fact-based prioritization and decision making, contribute to prioritization and project staffing decisions.  Be in touch with DAIA implementation teams to ensure successful delivery of projects in time and in budget.   Contribute to holistic DAIA portfolio transparency through strong collaboration with DAIA portfolio manager.
  • Promote DAIA within Beiersdorf. Raise awareness of DAIA capabilities, strategy and results/impact, including communication strategy and execution. Help to build the DAIA brand. Be a change ambassador.
  • Further develop our strategic partnership ecosystem.

Your Profile

  • University degree in a STEM field.
  • 5+ years experience in a client facing role in business development or consulting, preferably in digital transformation.  Experience in data, analytics, AI and automation projects is of advantage.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional (project) teams, managing projects from start to finish. Functional / indirect leadership experience is a must.
  • Experience in managing and steering external/mixed project teams, with internal employees and consultants or other 3rd parties.
  • Strong understanding of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry, especially in the strategic digital transformation opportunities in R&D and innovation, from a consumer and company view.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including influencing and positive conflict management.
  • Written and spoken English at a highly proficient level (C1 equivalent). German is a plus.
  • Very good strategic thinking, analytical and conceptual skills as well as high self-initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive to success multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.  Solution-oriented and bias to action.
