  • You have a proven track record of delivering results through people
  • You have the ability to set expectation, provide clear direction and follow up the effective new way of working and solutions
  • You can secure competent and high-performing teams and leaders who inspire and empower every co-worker to recognize and understand their contribution. You identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure succession planning.
  • You have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and German or have the willingness to improve your language skills quickly
  • You are a Senior IKEA Shopkeeper, preferably with experiences both in Showroom and in Markethall or have management experience with other retailers

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    In the role as Core Area Manager, you are responsible for leading one of three Core Areas in the Store, optimizing sales, gross margin and profit to enable for extraordinary growth. The Shopkeepers/Teamleaders in the Core Area will report directly to you and their development will be your focus.

    You will:
  • Lead the Core Area Team, taking an umbrella view across Home Furnishing Business Areas (HFBs) in the Core Area, driving sales and securing peak performance throughout the year
  • Be responsible to drive the Core Area Business through setting the direction based on a deep understanding of the local market needs from a consumer and range perspective using life at home as the base
  • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within the Store and beyond to secure integration, common focus and to maximize impact
  • Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues and develop team members by agreeing clear goals and expectations, and conducting follow-ups.
  • Support a great customer experience throughout the store and help to develop the needed service offers in this unique environment

    In this role you will report to the Unit Sales Manager.

    For this fulltime position we offer you a yearly gross salary starting from 49.000 € (on fulltime base with an ALL IN contractual agreement).
    We are willing to pay more depending on experience and qualification.
