Your Role
As Media Database Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, CANTO. You will ensure high-quality, well-organized content is available to internal stakeholders across the organization. This role combines technical system management, content curation, and user support.
Your tasks
1. CANTO System Administration (40%)
- Oversee the database structure of the DAM system (CANTO).
- Propose and implement system improvements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for DAM-related queries.
- Coordinate and lead the CANTO admin group.
2. Content Curation & Maintenance (40%)
- Process and manage audiovisual material from internal and external creators.
- Approve, organize, rename, tag, and upload assets to ensure accurate and timely availability.
- Develop and refine file naming conventions, metadata, taxonomy, and keywording standards.
- Enhance usability of the DAM system.
- Create tools to distribute and facilitate content usage.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for seamless digital asset integration.
3. Training, Capacity-Building & Technical Support (20%)
- Maintain and update internal training resources on using the DAM system.
- Provide technical support to internal users.
- Stay informed about updates and new features in CANTO.
Your profile
- 2+ years working with a DAM system (e.g., CANTO).
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of visual communication and digital content management. Familiarity with audiovisual content production is a plus.
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages like Amharic, French, or Portuguese are a bonus.
- Committed to Light for the World’s mission and values, with an interest in international development and human rights.
- Project management skills and a proven ability to work independently.
