Global People and Organization (HR) Business Partner (f/m/d)

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide strategic and operational leadership in the People and Organization (P&O) function for the Global Business Unit Biologics. With over 1,200 associates across three sites in Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia, the business unit has an annual spend of USD 500M. It collaborates closely with other Development units. As the trusted advisor and partner to the Global Business Unit Head and Global Leadership Team members, this role aims to develop and implement a comprehensive Organization, Talent, and Culture strategy for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and execute the strategic P&O plan for the business unit, functions, entities, and sites.
• Serve as a Business Partner to the Global Head of Biologics & CGT.
• Actively participate in the Biologics & CGT Global Leadership Team, ensuring P&O topics are addressed in relevant leadership meetings.
• Define the People, Talent, and Culture Strategy for the Biologics organization, aligning with the Global Business and P&O Head. Monitor compliance with the strategy and initiate corrective actions when needed. Analyze data and trends to provide actionable insights to business leaders.
• Implement reward and retention strategies in collaboration with Global Rewards to foster superior performance and talent retention.
• Drive the annual Performance Management process for the entire Biologics organization, focusing on performance management and development. Support Novartis culture initiatives
• Identify capability gaps and develop strategies to address business needs. Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, and development activities. Coach managers and employees on developmental aspects.
• Lead change management and organizational development projects. Coach senior leaders through change initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and new ideas. Apply OD diagnostics and change management principles to optimize the Biologics organization.

Role Requirements

• A Master's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• At least 7-10 years of progressive experience in People and Organization (HR) business partnering or management, including driving organizational development, facilitation and change management projects.
• Minimum of 3-5 years serving as a senior-level global People and Organization (HR) Business Partner in an international matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with senior leadership teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience working in multicultural teams and leading multi-country operations.
• Demonstrated leadership potential for future global People and Organization (HR) lead roles.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

In addition to a market-competitive base salary, we offer an attractive incentive program, a modern company pension scheme, childcare facilities, learning and development opportunities as well as worldwide career possibilities within the Novartis group. GJFA 1-4: In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 80 433,64/year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
