About the role:
As our Compliance & Governance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth governance operations across the organization. You’ll manage board meetings, track action points, ensure compliance with statutory and internal deadlines, and support the onboarding and training of board members. Acting as a key resource for accessibility, you will help ensure our practices are inclusive and accessible for all stakeholders. Additionally, as the team’s innovation focal point, you’ll drive initiatives that enhance and modernize our governance practices. Working closely with senior leaders, you will ensure that our governance standards meet the highest standards.
Your tasks
- Organize and manage board meetings and assemblies across multiple countries, ensuring seamless planning, preparation, and follow-up. You’ll be the driving force behind well-coordinated and successful events
- Oversee board member onboarding and offboarding, ensuring they’re prepared and supported while helping foster meaningful relationships with our senior leadership team
- Maintain our governance data, track action items, and ensure all statutory filings are completed on time—keeping us compliant and efficient in everything we do
- Support budget planning and track expenses for governance activities, ensuring optimal use of resources to support our governance strategy
- Lead accessibility checks for all governance-related documents. Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders to foster an inclusive environment and make our events accessible to all
Your profile
- Degree in Business Administration, Law, or Governance
- 3-5 years in governance, compliance, or corporate administration, ideally in an international or NGO setting
- Fluency in German & English (French is a plus). Strong understanding of governance frameworks, excellent organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong technical skills. Proficiency in using MS Teams and other collaboration tools to facilitate meetings and team coordination is essential
