BPA Manager TRD (m/f/d), Schaftenau, Tyrol, Austria
750 million! That is the amount of sales' turnover generated each year by innovative medicines. As a BPA (Business Planning and Alalysis) Manager in Technical Research & Development (TRD) you will be responsible for supporting end-to-end processes globally for TRD Finance and for TRD (sub-) Line Functions to deliver their financial and drug development agenda (including planning and forecasting). You will also be responsible for local statutory and compliance activities in accordance with legislation, internal rules, good practices and business objectives. Furthermore, you will act as a key business and sparring partner providing appropriate financial operational as well as strategic support and insight to business operations in order to achieve key business objectives.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Own and support various end-to-end processes of TRD Finance
• Lead the improvement of the design and maintenance of simple, harmonized and automated processes
• Drive process adherence across all TRD Line Functions and sites, in close collaboration with the Finance network
• Support month-end closing, financial planning, and business partnering activities such as preparing investment cases, resource allocation scenarios, and performance analyses
• Own local BPA activities, including statutory and compliance tasks (e.g., audit, TRD client interface)
• Lead adoption of simple, harmonized and automated processes in local area of responsibility
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver financial targets with compliance, ensuring high levels of integrity and respect for laws, policies, and Novartis control frameworks
• Designing your career and owning your personal and professional development.
• Other tasks determined during the annual objectives setting process and by KPIs

Minimum Requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
Essential:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
• Fluent in English and German
• Learning agility applied to systems and digital tools (e.g. Excel/PowerPoint and handling large databases)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve
• Ability to communicate and lead across diverse teams
Desirable requirements:
• Advanced degree in business
• Work experience in a similar position, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
• Good knowledge of financial systems (e.g., SAP-BI, FCRS)

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is €60,212.18 per year (on a full-time basis).
